Executive Director

Position Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week
Rate: $18 per hour, with potential performance-based compensation for membership growth
Location: Milan, Michigan

The Milan Area Chamber of Commerce exists to support local businesses and strengthen our community. We're a growing organization focused on real, measurable impact — connecting businesses with each other, promoting local events, and creating genuine value for our members.

What You'll Do

Member Outreach & Retention: Actively seek new members and meet regularly with existing members to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure they're getting value from their membership.
Marketing & Communications: Create marketing materials and promote chamber events, programs, and initiatives across social media, email, and other channels.
Independent Operations: Manage day-to-day tasks, set your own priorities within agreed-upon goals, and execute with minimal oversight between weekly check-ins.
Weekly Leadership Meetings: Meet with the Chamber President each week to align on priorities, review progress, and adjust course as needed.

Who You Are

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Comfortable with direct member conversations and relationship building.
Capable of creating or coordinating marketing content.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Genuinely interested in supporting local business growth.
